Grrrrr…

It’s an old and tired refrain, but here goes anyway. It’s bad enough that the malls have already put up their Christmas decorations. Why does my office building have to do it too? They don’t have the (phony) excuses that retailers use of needing to get an early start on the season, or not wanting to be undecorated when the competition is decorated.

To top it all off, why do the damn malls have to play bad Christmas music this early? Isn’t the decoration enough? Do we need to be bombarded by choral versions of “Jingle Bells” in mid-November?

  1. Maybe when you’re rich and you start your anti-spam mob program you can also finance a “no christmas decorating and song playing until december 15th” effort? I’ll be in for both.

  2. Right, Maggie and AJ. And the world would be a better place if we still all served tea on doilies like our grannies used to. Wouldn’t that be just peachy.

Sign me up for the mob. I wanna be the stealthy kung fu assassin chick, please.

  3. I have been humming, “Oh the weather outside is frightful…” for almost three weeks now. And if I hear three songs in a row in another retail place, I know if they have the same music system or not.

    kill. me. now.

  4. but…but the world WOULD be a better place if we all used doilies. I have several water rings on my teak furniture to prove it, placed there by Uncivilized People who have only ever known semidisposable Swedish laminates….
