Eiffel Tower – Passerelle Debilly
My first time in Paris was in 1993. I took the photo on the left from the top of the Eiffel Tower. It's always been one of my favorite photos. To this day, the print from which this was scanned (8x10 b&w on fibre paper) hangs framed in my dining room. One thing I like in particular is the little arched bridge to the left of the shadow. I've always liked bridges, and this one always catches my eye when I look at the photo. In 2001 I was in Paris again. I decided to go to that bridge -- a small pedestrian-only bridge called the "Passerelle Debilly." Once there, I took the inverse photo, from the bridge looking back to the tower.
