Porcini Pizza in Trastevere

Porcini Pizza in Trastevere

Trastevere (Rome)

We ate a lot of pizza, and this was definitely one of the better ones. It was at some crowded sidewalk terrace on a narrow street crowded with other sidewalk terraces in Trastevere. The crust was thin and crispy, and the mushrooms were buttery and delicious!

Note that of all the pizzas we ate in Italy, not one came to the table cut into wedges. It would seem that the "pizza wheel" is a North American invention!
