Cod with Polenta
Venice
Believe it or not, this is reconstituted salt cod, done up with tomatoes, herbs, and other tasty things, served with a bit of grilled polenta. The menus in Venice are very fish-oriented, and this place was no exception.
You can also find this stuff spread on pieces of bread as "ciccetti" (Venetian bar snacks). I preferred it that way to having a big glop of it for dinner.
