The hotel where I stayed in London last week is just a touch shabby, in need of a bit of sprucing up here and there, but I suppose that justifies the low London price of only £110 a night. The view, however… the view…

After a week composed of a seemingly endless flow of beer and sandwiches, I finally got a full meal last night. Opting for the new London classic we headed over to Brick Lane and indulged in a massive curry fest. Oooooo, that vindaloo!

The folks from the office here in London took me and another visitor out for a few pints after work yesterday. We went to the local pub, a decent and well-lit but otherwise undistinguished establishment. The beer flowed rather freely.
Several pints later I noticed that the pub did not seem to have a food menu. […]

They really picked up the pace of work on the deconstruction of St. James Church today. I went to look before work this morning, and bumped into Patrick, who works right across the street from the construction site. He invited me up for a bird’s eye view, from where I took this shot.

I’ll be in London next week, for work. Unfortunately, due to a lapse in brain function when making the travel arrangements, I’ll only be there from Sunday to Friday. And I have to work every day (except Sunday — arrival day). But still, there’s always the evenings.
